What a pain! We're so sorry the color backlight is acting up. First, you should try resetting the microcontroller by plugging and unplugging the USB 5-7 times in a row (with the TV on). If this doesn't do the trick, try turning down the brightness to see if you can turn the TV off and on again without the backlight resetting and/or freezing. If it works, it's likely the TV's port doesn't provide enough power. If it doesn't work, it's likely a defective unit which we'd like to replace.
